Sunni rescuer saving the lives of the Shia hailed as a hero

Something to never forget... in 2005.

Sunni rescuer hailed as Iraq hero
A relative of Othman Abdul Hafez holds up a photocopied article about his exploits
Abdul Hafez's story has been extolled in the Iraqi press
A Sunni teenager who died while saving Shia victims of last week's Baghdad stampede has been praised as a "martyr" by Iraqi politicians.Witnesses say Othman Abdul Hafez drowned as he tried to pull yet another Shia pilgrim from the River Tigris, having saved up to seven others.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Jaafari said his actions were a "message to the whole world" about religious unity in Iraq.
About 1,000 people died in the stampede during a Shia religious procession.
The incident was apparently triggered by rumours of an imminent suicide attack on the ceremony.
Hundreds died either by being crushed, suffocated or by drowning after they were pushed into the river.
"The Shia dies as a martyr next to the Sunni while celebrating rituals, and the one of them sacrifices himself trying to rescue the other," said Mr Jaafari.
"This is a message to the whole world that the real problem is not between Sunnis and Shias," he added.
Strong swimmer
Politicians from both Sunni and Shia communities attended the teenager's funeral on Saturday.
"He represented Iraqi unity and we are proud of him because of his message that Iraq is one country, one nation and one religion," said Falah Shensel, a Shia National Assembly member.

Relatives of stampede victims are still searching for loved ones
Many of the dead were women, children, or the elderly, hospital sources said.
The 19-year-old, from the staunchly Sunni district of Adhamiyah, responded to calls to help the stricken Shia pilgrims broadcast from a local mosque.
Witnesses said he was a strong swimmer and saved many struggling Shias before himself succumbing to exhaustion.
His actions belie predictions that the stampede - blamed on Sunni-led insurgents - may exacerbate sectarian tensions between Sunni and Shias at a time of sectarian divisions over the drafting of Iraq's new constitution.

Al-Sisi distances himself from Al-Badawi leaks

Source: https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/articles/africa/18627-al-sisi-distances-himself-from-al-sayyid-al-badawi-leaks

Jamal Sultan
The audio recordings attributed to Wafd Party leader Al-Sayyid Al-Badawi and leaked by journalist Abd Al-Rahim Ali yesterday came as a big surprise.

The leaked audio recordings follow other political leaks released and publicised this week to the effect that Al-Badawi is "no more" – he is literally "finished", or, as Egyptians would say, he needs to "make him a prayer". All these are expressions for one thing, namely that certain circle within Egypt have decided to get rid of Al-Badawi.
Speculations are now confined to the manner in which he will be finished off. Will some of the charges be brought against him (leading to a lawsuit)? There are many well-known avenues for this, including repeated complaints made to the public prosecution, such as one made by the United Arab Emirates. These, incidentally, pave the way for action. Or could this be just an internal coup within the Wafd Party to bring him down? Or could it be a "freezing" process in the manner of the infamous Safwat Al-Sharif; orchestrating a division within the party that consequently leads it to being suspended until the matter of the division is sorted out, either by mutual consent or in a court of law (though one should be reminded of the famous grandeur of the language used by Safwat Al-Sharif stating that neither a court decision nor an out of court settlement will resolve the problem).
Clearly, these leaks are offered by official security circles that have the capabilities and the authority to eavesdrop on politicians, journalists and activists. Yet, pinpointing who specifically stands behind the leaks remains the problem as there are many circles that possess such resources and powers.
However, what is truly surprising in this regard is not the vilification of Al-Badawi. Only once or twice in the audio leak is he vilified in terms of showing him to be biased in favour of the Muslim Brotherhood and flattering them because he was hoping they would support his candidacy in the presidential elections, though it was rather strange that Al-Badawi should have had such an ambition at the time.
What is truly dangerous about these leaks, if proven to be authentic, is that they undermine Al-Sisi himself and deal a fatal blow to his own project. They may even result in refuting much of the official narrative regarding the events of 30 June 2013.
The leaks show that preparations for crushing the Muslim Brotherhood and "slaughtering them" were planned in 2012 long before the presidential elections. The leaks also charge the security apparatus and accuse it of orchestrating terrorist attacks in order to seize control and create a climate of fear.
This is very puzzling indeed. What interest is served by the security circles that leaked these recordings as a result of propagating such a horrific image; an image that will harm President Abd Al-Fattah Al-Sisi himself more than anyone else? That is, assuming that the leaks were deliberate and premeditated. One just cannot imagine that whoever made the leaks did not see the seriousness of what they were doing. It is in fact more important and more dangerous than the story about the relationship between Sayyid Al-Badawi himself and the Muslim Brotherhood. It is no secret that all political powers at the time had some sort of a relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood, and some even went as far as entering into political and electoral alliances with the group, including Hamdin Sabbahi and his party.
Just one day after the leaks were broadcast, Al-Sisi took everyone by surprise when he called for a meeting with the leader of the Wafd Party and a number of party leaders. This was an absolutely unexpected and unusual political conduct; it is a blatant intervention in the affairs of an independent party – or at least this how it is supposed to seem. It would appear that the President of the Republic is playing the role of a reference point for the party or acting as if he were acting on behalf of the Council of Trustees or as if he were its leader, intervening to settle a dispute, coordinating action and keeping things under control.
Yet, what is more important is that Al-Sisi's invitation to Al-Badawi on the morning of the cannot be dissociated from the issue of the leaks themselves and the row they stirred up. More clearly, Al-Sisi's invitation to Al-Badawi, which may politically translate as a courteous act showing respect for him and also providing him with protection on behalf of the institution of the presidency, means that Al-Sisi wished to convey a message to Al-Badawi, to his party and beyond that to the entire public opinion that he had nothing to do with the leaks, that he is not happy about them, that he never consented to them and even that he is dismayed and angry about the way in which they were propagated.
What the President did for Al-Sayyid Al-Badawi created an impression, which no political observer could miss, that there are certain circles seeking to undermine him, whether knowingly or otherwise, and that he is outraged as a result. It may even give the impression that there is a power struggle among different wings that do not care about the public interest.
The coming weeks will reveal more about this power struggle. It will either be resolved and settled, or it will lead to more chaos.

Leaked recordings reveal Al-Badawi's prior knowledge of 2013 massacres and MB oust

Source: https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/news/africa/18625-leaked-recordings-reveal-al-badawis-prior-knowledge-of-2012-massacres

An interesting leak in Egypt clearly shows that it was not 'democracy' that brought Muslim Brotherhood to power but rather it was external influences. Purposefully aimed at destroying the group as well as its loyalties by its many supporters.
Key Points:
"The recordings reveal that everything that the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt has been subjected to in the wake of the revolution, including the killings, had been planned for many years by the Egyptian security agencies with the full knowledge and participation of Al-Badawi"
The other person who responds seems to be a senior security figure in the establishment, as he was addressing Al-Wafd's leader by his first name: "Oh Sayyid. The upcoming period will be a dark one for the Brotherhood. Armed militias will slaughter them in their own houses. Egypt will be full of orchestrated terrorism to retaliate against the Brotherhood and seek revenge from the revolution that brought down the security apparatus."

The links US have with ISIS

The relationship between the U.S. and ISIS is a question posed by many. I will try to formulate as many links with evidence supporting my claims to help the reader in making his/her links as well as giving the reader an array of material to reference.

The Redirection - Seymour Hersh
In 2007 two-time Pulitzer Prize  winning journalist Seymour Hersh wrote in an article the new policy devised by America that "the U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda."

Camp Bucca - Baghdadi's launchpad
Baghdadi had served time in U.S. Prison Camp Bucca in Iraq before being released to then form ISIS. Abu Ahmed who also served time with Baghdadi in the same prison was interviewed regarding the ISIS leadership and formulation, giving a chilling description of how easy it was to form a group such as ISIS. He said “We could never have all got together like this in Baghdad, or anywhere else,”  “It would have been impossibly dangerous. Here, we were not only safe, but we were only a few hundred metres away from the entire al-Qaida leadership.”

Arming the defectors
A trend had started becoming apparent in 2013 whereby all the ammunition and support the U.S. were giving so called moderate rebel factions, seemed to fall right into the lap of ISIS. Former Congressman Ron Paul denounced in an interview with Russia Today the plans to support western-backed forces have been helpful to ISIS. He said "The Free Syrian Army turned over the weapons that we (US) sent them to ISIS."

As well as that, a London based small-arms research organisation Conflict Armament Research revealed ISIS jihadists appear to be using US military-issued arms and weapons supplied to rebels via Saudi Arabia

America's allies are funding ISIS
The Daily Beast reported that "The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), now threatening Baghdad, was funded for years by wealthy donors in Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia"

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/06/14/america-s-allies-are-funding-isis.html

Yousuf al Salafi allegedly the Pakistan commander of ISIS had confessed during investigations that he has been receiving funds through the U.S. The article goes on to explain how in today's reality no funding of such large amounts go undetected by America now that the world trade in petrodollars for oil and gas.

U.S. approved Jihadists - Abdulhakim Belhadj
Who is Abdelhakim Belhadj?

Having been a member of the "Libyan Islamic Fighting Group" or LIFG for decades, he would literally travel to Afghanistan where he would fight American soldiers in the wake of 9/11. He was even captured and enrolled in the United States' infamous "rendition program." Upon release from prison in Libya, he would promptly organize and lead armed rebellion against the government Muammar Qaddafi, with extensive NATO arms, cash, and even air cover.

2007 West Point Combating Terrorism Center (CTC) report examining the demographics of foreign fighters caught in Iraq fighting then occupying US troops would reveal that the NATO-backed rebels in Libya led by Belhaj were in fact fighters drawn from the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) listed by both the US State Department and UK Home Office as a foreign terrorist organization.

In essence then, the United States and its NATO partners knowingly and willfully handed the nation of Libya and its people over to Al Qaeda. Despite Belhaj's documented terrorist past and present, US politicians would meet with him, showering upon him accolades, praise, and continued political and military support. Among these politicians were US Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham who met and literally shook Belhaj's hand while standing upon the ruins of Libya.

This same man is now seen leading the Libyan faction for ISIS the Washington Times reported

Human's Rights are set by Allah

I see a lot of Muslims concerned about the Tories scrapping the Human Rights Act. They believe these acts that were devised by man's limited mind protect them.
Let us remember that Allah (subhanahu wata'ala) says:
Quran 2:255
Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter . And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
It is not the Human Rights Acts that protect Man but rather it is Allah (subhanahu wata'ala) that protects everything.
If we are to look at it politically then we can clearly see that these Human Rights Acts are bypassed and ignored when it comes to harming and killing those Muslims that they were always going to attack, regardless of law. Palestine, Congo, Central African Republic and Burma are but a few that come to mind...
The correct way to view this would be to look at it from an Islamic perspective. How were the Muslims protected under the beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wassallam)?
It was only until the Prophet (saw) implemented the State in Medina, when the Muslims had protection, a shield to stand behind. Allah's (swt) Justice is only then present in its practical form, i.e. through the courts that are implementing Sharia.
“Indeed, the Imam (Khaleefah) is a shield, from behind whom you fight and by whom you are protected.” [Muslim]
If we are truly worried about our lives and the lives of our brothers and sisters then let us look for a permanent solution, a solution from the All-Knowing, The Magnificent. (swt)

CONFIRMED: US “Operation Rooms” Backing Al Qaeda in Syria

A good article below but the Iranian political analysis is a little far fetched and seems to be in line with the 'Great Game' conspiracy which believe that Iran are the next world superpower battling for domination. Yet we know they are unconscious allies of the West with every action they've done on the political arena only serving that sectarian divide between the Shia Sunni to create a clear arc in the Middle East that'll leave Muslims too engrossed in a battle of fitnah.

---------------------------------

US policy think-tank Brookings Institution confirms that contrary to propaganda, US-Saudi “moderates” and Turkey-Qatar “Islamists” have been coordinating all along.

The war in Syria continues to drag on, with a recent and renewed vigor demonstrated behind an opposition long portrayed as fractured and reflecting a myriad of competing foreign interests. Chief among these competing interests, the public has been told, were the US and Saudis on one side, backing so-called “moderate rebels,” and Turkey and Qatar on the other openly backing Al Qaeda and its various franchises including the Islamic State (ISIS).

However, for those following the conflict closely, it was clear from the beginning and by the West’s own admissions that success hinged on covertly providing arms, cash, equipment, and both political and military support to Al Qaeda and other sectarian extremists, not opposed by Saudi Arabia, but rather by using Saudi Arabia as the primary medium through which Western material support could be laundered.

And this fact is now confirmed in a recent article published on the Brookings Institution’s website titled, “Why Assad is losing.”

It states unequivocally that (emphasis added):

The involvement of FSA groups, in fact, reveals how the factions’ backers have changed their tune regarding coordination with Islamists. Several commanders involved in leading recent Idlib operations confirmed to this author that the U.S.-led operations room in southern Turkey, which coordinates the provision of lethal and non-lethal support to vetted opposition groups, was instrumental in facilitating their involvement in the operation from early April onwards. That operations room — along with another in Jordan, which covers Syria’s south — also appears to have dramatically increased its level of assistance and provision of intelligence to vetted groups in recent weeks.

Whereas these multinational operations rooms have previously demanded that recipients of military assistance cease direct coordination with groups like Jabhat al-Nusra, recent dynamics in Idlib appear to have demonstrated something different. Not only were weapons shipments increased to the so-called “vetted groups,” but the operations room specifically encouraged a closer cooperation with Islamists commanding frontline operations.

Overall, Brookings is pleased to report that with the infiltration and overrunning of much of Idlib in northern Syria, it appears their long-stated goal of creating a seat of power for their proxies within Syria’s borders and perhaps even extending NATO aircover over it, may finally be at hand. Brookings still attempts to perpetuate an adversarial narrative between the West and Al Qaeda, despite admitting that it was only with Western backing that recent offensives spearheaded by Al Qaeda itself were successful.

In reality, as far back as 2007, it was the admitted policy of the then Bush-led White House to begin arming and funding sectarian extremists, including Al Qaeda, through the use of intermediaries including Saudi Arabia. Veteran journalist and two-time Pulitzer Prize-winner Seymour Hersh in his report “The Redirection: Is the Administration’s new policy benefiting our enemies in the war on terrorism?“would lay bare this conspiracy which has since then unfolded verbatim as described in 2007.

The above mentioned Brookings article also alludes to a grander geopolitical landscape taking shape beyond the Syrian conflict. It states in regards to the US now openly backing what is for all intents and purposes an Al Qaeda-led offensive that:

The most likely explanation for such a move is pressure from the newly emboldened regional alliance comprising Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. The United States also is looking for ways to prove its continued alignment with its traditional Sunni Gulf allies, amid the broader context of its rapprochement with Iran.

The continuation, even expansion of the US-backed conflict in Syria is the most telling evidence of all regarding the disingenuous nature of America’s rapprochement with Iran. The entire goal of destabilizing and potentially overthrowing the government in Syria is to weaken Iran ahead of a similar campaign of encirclement, destabilization, and destruction within Iran itself.

The fact that events in Syria are being accelerated, with Brookings itself admitting that “international and ideological differences,” have been “pushed to the side,” illustrates a palpable desperation among the West to finish the conflict in Syria in hopes of moving forward toward Iran before regional dynamics and Iran’s own defensive posture renders moot the West’s entire regional agenda, jeopardizing its long-standing hegemony across North Africa and the Middle East.

Similarly rushed operations appear to be underway in Yemen. With Western-backed conflicts embroiling virtually every nation surrounding Iran, the idea that the US seeks anything but Iran’s eventual destruction, let alone “rapprochement” must surely have no one fooled in Tehran.

While Brookings enthusiastically reports on the continued destruction in Syria it itself played a part in engineering and promoting, it still admits that overthrowing Syria’s legitimate government is not inevitable. While it attempts to portray Syria’s allies as withdrawing support for Damascus, the reality is that if and when Syria falls, Syria’s allies are indisputably next in line.

Iran will face an entire nation handed over to Al Qaeda and other heavily armed and well-backed sectarian extremists dreaming of a cataclysmic confrontation with Tehran, fueled by a global network of US-Saudi backed madrases turning out legions of ideologically poisoned zealots. And beyond Iran, Russia faces the prospect of its Caucasus region being turned into a corridor of terror aimed straight at the heart of Russia itself.

The conflict in Syria is but a single battle among a much larger war  a global war constituting what is basically a third World War, fought not upon vast but clearly defined fronts, but rather through the use of fourth generation warfare, proxies, mercenaries, economics, and information. For those that fail to see how Syria is linked to the survival of many nations beyond its borders and the very concept of a multi-polar world built upon the concept of national sovereignty, they invite not just Damascus’ defeat, but that of the world as we know it.

Neo-Con Propagandists Are Hiding Behind Freedom of Speech, Not Defending It

Neo-Con Propagandists Are Hiding Behind Freedom of Speech, Not Defending It

The supposed trigger for this provocation was a "draw Mohammad" contest organized by the American Freedom Defense Intitiative (AFDI), a performing Neo-Conservative propaganda troupe consisting of the Bush-era US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton, full-time propagandist Pamela Gellar and Robert Spencer, and Dutch politician Geert Wilders.

Their debut performance was in 2010, where they came out to protest the so-called "Ground Zero Mosque" supposedly to be built near the ruins of the destroyed World Trade Center in New York City. The mosque was never actually built, not because of the public backlash, but because the entire controversy was manufactured. The "imam" allegedly behind the mosque, was in fact a member of the Council of Foreign Relations, funded and backed by the very same corporate-funded think tanks that set out to protest against the planned "mosque." In other words, the entire scandal was manufactured on both sides by the same special interests for the purpose of manipulating the public.

Since then, with little success, AFDI and its various affiliates in North America and Europe have attempted to stoke hatred not toward "radical Islam," terrorists, or the US-backed regimes arming and funding them, but against all Muslims. Dutch politician Geert Wilders, for his part, while claiming to be defending "free speech" in Texas, has been busy trying to infringe on the rights of Muslims back in his home country.

He has even gone as far as calling for the complete censorship of the Qu'ran. The Telegraph in their article, "Ban Koran like Mein Kampf, says Dutch MP," would report:

The Koran should be banned as a “fascist book” alongside Mein Kampf because it urges Muslims to kill non-believers, says Dutch populist MP Geert Wilders.
Wilders and the rest of AFDI are not exercising free speech, but are in fact attempting to inspire fear, suspicion, hatred, and tangible violence against not just "terrorists," but all 1 billion plus practitioners of the Islamic faith, many of whom are fighting and dying this very moment battling real terrorists, ironically armed, funded, and fully backed by the very Neo-Cons that have assembled AFDI.

Not only does AFDI hold freedom of speech in contempt and actively set out to destroy it for others, they are now hiding behind it to further strip the rights, peace, and stability away from people both in the West and abroad. The so-called "War on Terror" that AFDI's rhetoric actively supports has served as the impetus to do everything from expanding warrantless surveillance and an ever expanding police state at home, to help garner support for wars of geopolitical conquest abroad.

Not About "Free Speech"

With these facts in mind, it is clear that "free speech" is a canard used by both the "left" and "right" to distract from the real purpose of the Garland shooting, and other acts of provocation like it. It distracts from the fact that all of the perpetrators have been well-known to security agencies for years, even sentenced and/or imprisoned by various courts, as well as investigated and kept under surveillance. It distracts from the fact that the event at the center of the attacks was organized and carried out by those who themselves have actively sought to curtail the freedoms of others, not to mention foster wars that have ended or otherwise destroyed the lives of millions. It distracts from the fact that the very Neo-Cons telling the world to fear "Islam" represent the same special interests arming and funding literal Al Qaeda and ISIS terrorists across North Africa, the Middle East, and even Central and East Asia.

The AFDI represents one insidious arm of a larger criminal conspiracy that has verifiably helped end the lives of tens of thousands in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Egypt, and Yemen since 2011. It also represents the same special interests that lied to the world to justify invading Iraq in 2003, ending the lives of some 1 million people and leaving the country, to this very day, in constant deadly chaos.

The Garland shooting is not about freedom of speech, but rather about criminal special interests playing both sides of a manufactured strategy of  tension to achieve further bloodshed, death, and conquest abroad, while inviting fear, division, and a growing police state stripping us all of our rights here at home.

Neither the AFDI nor the patsies involved in the shooting deserve the public's sympathy or defense. Rather, they both demand the scrutiny and vigilance required to break the rhetorical back of this conspiracy, and strip away the support it receives from both sides of a mass-manipulated public.
